Getting Started

Gotta start somewhere. 

I guess this is somewhere. 

I've known for a while now (like, a year!) that I need to figure out something for our family website/blog situation. It just didn't seem right to keep posting everything on a website named Katelyn Ann O'Flanagan when, in fact, there are now two beautiful O'Flanagan girls to talk about. But I didn't know what to do, so, in typical Jess fashion, I procrastinated. Until I found myself with a 3-month old and a nearly 3-year old that I wasn't journaling a lick about, and I realized that I better do something quick, because these days and these memories are going to slip away before I know it.

So, I bit the bullet and created a blog. I like to read blogs (a lot!) but I don't know the first thing about writing one. My plan is to use this just as an outlet to journal about our family and our amazing daughters, so that we have something to look back on when they are all grown-up and out of the house (cue the waterworks now). I'll be starting off slow because, as I mentioned earlier, I have a 3-month old and 2-and-too-many-months old, and some days I feel like I'm barely keeping it together around here. But I'm getting started, and that's something!

Now to figure out how to add pictures to this thing...

Where it all started. Well, not really, but you know what I mean. 

Our wedding day, January 8, 2008. 

In the Bahamas. Oh, yes, in the Bahamas.

Where we are now. 

Minus one very spunky 2 and-a-half year old, who was, thankfully, being entertained by one of her amazing grandmothers. Need to work on the "Family of Four" pro photo, though.

So, that's us. 

Brian, Jessica, Katelyn and Madelyn. 

Or Daddy, Mama, KK and Maddie, as we are generally referred to around the house;)

Funny how things change.

I hope to add more soon.

But, I also hope to take a shower soon.

Guess we're just gonna have to take one thing at a time and see how this all works out:)
